Vintage dress in a modern world - Anniversary lunch

Its a beautiful, hot, sunny Saturday morning in Houston!

Today we walked through some cute suburbs trying to find the famed Texas Junk company.. It was closed so that adventure shall have to wait till next time.

However, we did stumble upon a brilliant coffee place.. The best green tea I have had since we got here! So yum!

Taft Coffee - amazing vegan cookies and delicious green tea. plus, a beautiful court yard!

Some more exploring led us to find...

A cool antique store, Reeve's Antiques.. my favorite pieces - a mod dining set and all the beautiful old gilded frames. There were also some quirky taxidermy pieces.. eek.

Then we took a look at an awesome bike store... And bought bikes! So excited, we have been wanting to get some for ages. Take a look at my beautiful, blue, belle.

While we were deciding on the bike choice, we shared some AMAZING pizza and the YUMMIEST cocktail of my life at Boheme Bar and Cafe. I recommend this place so much, this was our first time here, but definitely not our last!

One of the seating areas at Boheme.. Such a pretty bar.

After a quick rest and a touch up with some red lipstick we had dinner out with some friends at Root Bistro. Again, amazing food. And what better way to do vintage than to do vintage with polka dots. I will be honest, I LOVE polka dots... My dress today is one of the best vintage finds of my life. I got it shopping with a friend on Westheimer in Houston.. $16. WHAT? Yes, $16 for the coolest polka dot piece I own!

My lovely dress.. and my accidentally matching phone...
Red lipstick. My favorite shade..

Happy lady.
